Sandeep Gupta has been identified by investigators as the person who was found unresponsive inside a local residence late on Sunday.
According to police, at approximately 10:30 p.m. on May 12, officers were called to the 8600 block of Cunningham Drive in Berwyn Heights, where Gupta was found inside unresponsive.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders, and an autopsy conduced by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner the following day determined that the manner of death was a homicide.
Detectives are now working to identify possible suspects or a motive after taking over the investigation from the Berwyn Heights Police Department.
The incident remains under investigation.
